Please help me with my algebra.

i need this tomorrow at 6:45 a.m. eastern time.

1) Rhea exercised on a treadmill at the gym. When she was finished, the display showed she walked at an average speed of 3 miles per hour.
a) Write an equation that gives the number of miles y that Rhea would cover in x hours if she walked at this speed.
b) Explain why this is a direct variation and fine the value of k. What does this value represent in Rhea’s situation?

2) A baby pool that held 120 gallons of water is draining at a rate of 6 gal/min. The function f(x) = 120-6x gives the amount of water in the pool after x minutes. Find its intercepts. What does each intercept represent?

1
(a) y=3x (….yeah hard isn’t it)

(b) Not sure what they’re trying to say here but it sounds pretty dumb

2
at x=0 the intercept is f(x)=120 the original value
at x=20, the forula is f(x)=120-6(20)
which is f(x)=120-120=0
At this point the pool is empty

for (b) of answer one they want you to recognize the direct corelation between you x and y. when X increases so does Y. K is the constant that influences the two. If x goes up by 1, Y goes up three times as much. K = 3
