Torn to pieces…

I can’t help the way my thought have been lately. The doctor has put me on medication to help with the suicidal thoughts. The majority of the day it’s fine but then out of no where something happens and I’m pushed back to step one. I can’t stop thinking and wanting to do it!!!! IF I knew a way that would actually work I probably would. There isn’t anything or anyone that deserves to be around the disease that is myself!

But you are not a disease. You are a human being created for a very special purpose.

Can you tell us something more about yourself and your circumstances? That will help to get to the “root” of the problem.

What’s going on in your life?

How long have you been on meds?

Hello Torn to Pieces, I understand what you are going through. Three years ago my daughter left her 3 year old, my grand daughter, with me and my family while she left for Iraq (Air Force). It was a tremendously stressful time. And my doctor put me on medication as well. I found that it took 2 full weeks in my system before I felt the fog lift off of me. Then I had a lot more clarity and a lot of the edginess and anxiety was held at bay for me. Then I began to appreciate and enjoy my role in the important role that I played in my families lives. Many people we dependent on me but not because it was my place to fix everything, but because it was our place to be there, support and love one another. You may just need a little more time. I am glad to hear you reaching out and expressing yourself…you are in the right direction already! God Bless!
