I am working on a persona poem about the Earth.

I am an ESL student
and I have to put similes in a poem but I am not sure how to
put it or how to make it smoother.
Here’s my part of a poem:

Once, I was healthy.
I was full of trees, full of nice fresh air.
People started to call my body East, West, South, and North.
Then people started making noises, putting garbage all over my body.
They smoked everywhere.
Smell of pollutions made me older and weaker.
Trees, flowers, grass and all the nature, they’re full of complain of people about how they ruined the nature,
