My table tonight gave their 4 year old half of their bloody mary and she fell as she was leaving the restaurant.
This is the first time I have seen this. When I first set the drink down, the little girl was going crazy for it and then, as I was still right there taking their order, they gave it to her! I was shocked! I didn’t know what to do. I told the manager, but he said that there wasn’t really anything he could do.

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
Excuse yourself to the restroom and then use your cell to dial the police.
I don’t know. If my parents let me get **** faced, I’d really like them.
sorry..this is no joke.
I think she was talking to me.
oh I see. It was this little 4 year old’s b-day and I know that she has had alcohol before because of how she reached for it like it was her favorite toy
I was joking. I don’t drink much, but I don’t know. Some drinks taste all right. But I’d probably go virgin. Was it a virgin drink?
It was not a virgin drink, I had never seen them before and they complained about EVERYthing..they were a real problem table (pain is my a**)
The manager God their tag #, but I do not know if he will follow up with it b/c he seemed like it wasn’t his problem.
Um… not sure about what tag # means, but if you call the police or CPS, or whatever, and they come to investigate, he’ll have to follow up with it.
I don’t want to guilt you, but you realize that one phone call from you could potentially keep that little girl from being seriously injured or even dying, right?

by tag # I mean the license plate number of the car. I’m not always good at thinking on my feet in bizarre situations.
Oh, okay. Then you should definitely call the cops or whatever. Sooner rather than later.
Definitely call the police of CPS. It may save the childs life or at least health.
In agreement with all who posted.
Did they pay with a credit card? If so the police CAN track these abusive parents down.
:)

she fell down..it was so sad. I can just imagine these parents giving her a drink to shut her up.

What can it do?

Destroys the liver, messes up and destroys the brain, all sorts of things. Very very bad.

Not to be rude, but are you kidding me?
I just want to know how the health effects of alcohol are different than those of adults.
I think she was referring to the comment about “…giving her a drink to shut her up.”

I’m really misunderstanding people today eh. Maybe I should get some sleep.
I was given small amounts of alcohol as a kid, but not at 4. Half a drink like that can do some damage. I’d report it.

Because their brains and bodies are still developing. And they’re children. You wouldn’t let a four year old smoke or do drugs. (Hopefully.) It’s why there’s children’s medincines.

…because their bodies’ are so small, the doses affect them stronger. I didn’t finish that thought very well…

I delivered the alcoholic drink, the child reached for it right away and cried for it and the parents just gave it to get, sort of in an aggravated way. Like I said before, to shut her up. =(
what did they do when she fell?

a childs brain is also still growing and matureing at age 4 so it could give them potintial brian damage by stunting brain growth. They could die from alocohole poisoning because of their high and weight how much.
You’re manager just didn’t want to do their job. You both can/will be fined for serving alcohol to a minor. $15,000 in total. That’s why your manager didn’t want to do anything.
You $5,000
Resturant $10,000
No I’m not joking.
There’s a reason you card people—you should have stopped them and called the police.

Actually, it IS his problem—and yours, too. A restaurant can lose its license for serving alcohol to minors. And you could be held liable for any harm that could come to the child.
