i can ping yahoo,apple,sprint,att all fine cannot ping google ?????? help

I cannot connect to www.gmail.com, mail.google.com or www.google.com/mail (likely a mail.google.com redirect). I can ping google.com and mail.google.com without issue, and can access other Google sites, including those that require authentication (search, calendar, etc.), but attempting to access a mail page brings up “Loading” on the tab in Firefox and “Waiting for mail.google.com” in the Firefox status bar, and nothing from there (including no timeout). Any thoughts, or anyone else having this problem?

Quick update…didn’t think about trying https://mail.google.com (which accesses through different ports, and perhaps at a different IP). It worked for me that way, though still no luck with http://mail.google.com. Good luck!

No reply. having problems with my google e-mail. i’ve tried everything and still can not log in to one of my google mail and it’s the one with all my addresses.

This goofed now.
Problems with one google e-mail tried everything and nothing works

Mine does not work today. Is it a temporary glitch? Or something permanent? Would be helpful if someone from Google could come here and enlighten us a little bit. Gmail hasn’t failed me often, which is disappointing because usually I’d have said it is the most reliable.

We have the same problem on one computer using Windows XP Home. We are not able to connect with anything having to do with Google. Hot mail works just fine.

Have attempted just about everything that “seems” to make sense.
