Forget about New York, California, all o dems, Boise Idaho is where its at.
Why, you ask? Well, were a thriving Oasis in the middle of a vast, mountainous desert, known as “The City of Trees”: ![]()
Despite what most think, theres actually a lot to do here. Movies (duh) are pretty big, and you can go downtown to the Spectrum Plaza, main attraction the Edwards 21 Cinema and IMAX Complex, a multi-floor theater:
Or the equally impressing Majestic Cinemas (pic unavailable), which puts on a great light show at night. Sports Fan? Then youll have to get into Boise’s Football Arena, the Smurf Turf, and watch the Broncos do battle.
Or just enjoy Boise’s nightlife: ![]()
During the summer, dont forget to visit the biggest water park in the state, Roaring Springs,

and when youre done there, dry off at the conjoined Boondocks Fun Center (each boondocks center is characterized by a man made rock formation), with normal, Junior, and Slick Track go-carts, bumper boats, 2 mini golf courses, A roller coaster simulator, restaurant, Arcade, and Laser Tag Arena.

(thats part of a mini-golf course, get a hole in one, and it shoots a large fireball out the top and yells gibberish at you. You can feel the fire a ways away, pretty neat)
And if you still want more, try the popular “Shankz” indoor Blacklight mini-golf course (the entire course is 3D if you cough up the 3 bucks for the 3D glasses, which i suggest)

and of course, theres the winter, when you can ice skate, sled, or snowboard and ski at the famous Tamarack Ski Resort at Bogus Basin

Even the city itsself changes (rather neatly) for the winter, stuff like this abounds:
(yeah, its a frozen fountain) but of course, theres always places like Zoo Boise (pray for them, they giraffes the got over the summer got sick, one died, and one is in real bad shape =’(, but they got a baby snow leapord a while back who has grown quite nicely as seen here:)
(all of these are actual pics of the animals at Zoo Boise.)
and finally, the natural beauty, such as fishing in Boise River, or enjoying a day at the “beach” at Lucky Peak. dont forget to visit Idaho City, an old mining settlement that has been restored and preserved as a “historical town”. Also, kuna has some nice places to go 4-wheeling. OH. dont forget to go see the Birds of Prey reserve, a nice wilderness area where Bald and Gold eagles, osprey, and Falcons nest in abundance. Wind Riders also ofter parachute off the cliffs. (if youre into that thing, the Payette bridge in Twin Falls offers Legal, permit-free BASE Jumping year long.) as well as the Historic Swan Falls Dam

whew. dono why, just felt like telling yall about my town and how it isnt just some hicktown garbage heap.
