Year help: I am a 23 year old woman and have been hyper-bulimic for a very long time. - Help.com

I am a 23 year old woman and have been hyper-bulimic for a very long time.

I havent had a period for around 4 years and have been told by doctors that I’m probably infertile.

What are the chances that I will go through menopause or suffer any of the symptoms?

Thanks.

You should probably ask your doctor that, too. I’m sure whatever happens it won’t be that pretty unfortunately.

I think you have a greater chance of a heart attack and death. Your system is shutting down. This is your body crying out for help. It’s shutting down all systems not absolutely necessary for survival. Your distorted thinking processes are killing you.

Are you doing this to avoid menopause, probably around 27 years from now?

YOU are not your body. You are “riding in” your body, which is only a vehicle. Or as some would say, “your earthly temple.” :) You don’t honor yourself by starving your body.
