My sister had her baby yesterday!

I’m so excited to have a new little girl in our house! She has meconium aspiration syndrome so she actually was sent to a NICU last night. My sister has only seen her for maybe a minute and hasn’t held her at all :(
It’s been really sad but the baby is making great progress and so far no steps backwards.
I just wanted to share my joy with everyone that she’s doing okay and soon we can put her in her little pink polka dot dress we had planned to take her home in !

My second was in NICU for 5 weeks. It’s important to talk to the baby and try to hold the baby as much as possible….

Thank you all very much!! Her name is Maya Jane. My sister finally is out of her hospital now and up at the hospital where Maya is…the NICU is scary…a lot of little babies. But my sister is able to hold her and everything so that’s wonderful.
Sorry I didn’t respond earlier…right after I made this post (I was at work) I got called into a meeting and found out our company was shutting down as of yesterday…so I am now part of the nation’s unemployed. Sucks but I’m glad the baby is healthy. She’s so cute :)

Hey thank you. Fortunately I am graduating this December with a degree in psychology and I start a job at a psychiatric hospital in January. I was working as a receptionist in the office.
I have so much free time now it’s gonna drive me insane

That is great news! A brand new life. Nothing is more wondrous. Lil pink , never been used , feet. The contortions, the rubbery twists they make with their bodies. Babies are so easy to care for. I had 2. Boys. This is the truth. If we had had a girl her name was going to be Maya!! Glad of the boys we have. They are terrific young men. I just get blown away at the idea of making a human being. Fantastic!
