I Have a friend that ocationally wants to be my friend and other times constantly gets angry.

when she is in the centre of the group I hang out with she gets angry and it is as though she dose not want me anywhere near her but when she needs to get into the group then she never gets angry or frustrated with me. my mum eventualy told me never to sit next to her in class again because she recently liked me for a while and my um found out. my mum is now realy angry with me and I don’t know why but I always get scared when my mum or dad get angry but this time I was really really scared and she has threatened to ground me and make me miserable if I sit with my friend who I am not angry with ever again and if If i don’t sit with her then I cant sit with my best friend either. and I am affraid that if I stop sitting near her then I will stop being a part of the group like when my mum made me sit away last time. P.S if I tell my mum that I will not be a part of the group then she might say that I can gust go and join another group but no other group would ever accept me because I am counted as unpopular and weird. :(

Your mom is pretty involved in lunchroom politics, isn’t she? Ignore her put-downs, she shouldn’t be involved in the situation to begin with.
