What was President-Elect Obama talking about?

I thought, when he was asking American people to help our community?

It makes me so sad to read all these posts about lost jobs and money debts. I’m very disappointed in our government and the irresponsible people, who are leading our beloved country and its wonderful people in such bad and deadly direction. I am tired of being the victim. I’m asking myself, what can we, individuals do to help each other? Mr. Obama is asking us to do things, to help build our communities and society. I don’t know how? Do you have any idea, what can I do to make a difference? Please share your ideas with me.

Work hard, take care of your family, feed the homeless. Take small steps to begin with. I sometimes help at a shelter. If you start doing something like that, or help build a Habitat for Humanity house, you’ll see new ways to start rebuilding our communities.

ummm i read something about starting more programs for kids n trying to get the hole community active in more positive things like keeping it clean n safe then once you do that you can help other places do the same idk if this helped but thats all i got :)

I am on my way to become a homeless myself :( I cannot find a job for a long time now. My husband has no job since last week. I don’t want to bother you with my story. But I feel this urge to help and do what I can to help build this country again. How can I find out, where I can help?
