That really sucks to hear that, luv. :( I’m sorry that you’re going through such a crappy thing so close to the holidays. Some people just have no sense of selflessness.

I’ve had the same thing done to me too. An ex broke up with me during the New Year’s countdown. I spent the rest of the night at a friends place, and when I got home, New Year’s morning, my room-mate had decided to let my ex and his ‘new’ girl do their business on the living room floor. The window was open, I didn’t even need to go instead the house, let alone the yard to hear it.

The only advice I can really give you, is accept that he just wasn’t right for you. In time of course, it doesn’t all go away in an instant, especially when you’ve been hurt by something like that. In time though, it’ll be nothing more than a memory, and while it still may sting a little, you’ll have gotten stronger for it.

There are 6 billion people on the planet. So, you had a bad experience. There are plenty of opportunities out there. I never knew what caring really was until my wife died in front of me. Friends, family, former co-workers reached out to me in ways I could never have imagined. I am determined to return that love and caring every day.

Vent. Go for a run and scream. But get some perspective.
