Stretch marks are basically torn skin, when you do a tat over them different things can happen, like bleeding which is probably what you’ve experienced. Because the tissue is torn under the skin it allows for the pigment molecules to migrate or bleed into the surrounding skin, no matter where the artist inserts them. Usually people try glycolic peels and dermabrasion to help in cell rejuvination before doing any kind of tat. If that’s not possible, you should finding a tat artist that has worked with scars before and knows how to camoflouge it to match your skin tone. Other than that…stretch mark should be a “no no” for tattooing.

(Oh, the power of google.)

Stretch marks are a natural part of life. Cover them up with clothes I’m sure you’d look better with them than with an ill-conceived tatoo covering them up.

People do like to be dramatic.
I’ve got stretch marks on my back and a tattoo over, it has made no difference to the tattoo and it did not hurt any more than any of my other tattoos.
The tattooist won’t do it unless the scar is healed, at least one year old and silvery so that it is almost the same colour as your natural skin tone. If the stretch marks are purple or red they are not healed and need more time. It’ll be a good idea to have dermabrasion or other treatments to help the skin heal!

Strech marks can cover with the cloths. Its better treatment to hide strech marks.
