Thought help: ok, personal thoughts on pete doherty? - Help.com

Pete Doherty, an idiot thats wasted his wealth and talent on drugs.
The Libertines, nothing more than a middle of the road band in a genre that at the time was stale.
Dirty pretty things VS Baby shambles? both are mediocre and bland, not as good as the libertines, but that doesn’t really say much for given the libertines only redeeming feature was the lyrics. the music in all three bands is boring. nothing you haven’t heard mass produced a hundred times already.

wouldn’t listen to any of them tbh… there are far better bands out there.

Aww I thought I was going to get to moan about Pete Doherty being a scumbag who should have been locked up ages ago and how he sets such a bad example and how infuriating it is that he gets away with it…but I don’t like babyshambles or dirty pretty things so that’s ruined that!

Franz Ferdinand are a better example for me, when they burst on to the scene it was the start of all those bands, and their new third album is shaping up to take indie/pop/rock to th next level.

they are an experimental rock/pop/indie band and use a lot of production tricks in their albums to create a unique sound. they are high energy with disco and Motown influences.

check out the first album, FRANZ FERDINAND. its self titled, its a great album.

i listen to anything! EVERYTHING! no matter how bad it is, it doesn’t embarrass me.

Jack Johnson is great, you cant listen to Rock, pop or electro and D&B when your relaxing can you? thats when JJ comes in, when i want to relax i put on some JJ and kick up my feet.

Some of it does for me as well, you just have to weed through and find the great ones.

Another song that I love right now is the no-vocals version of Walk The Edge by Alex M.O.R.P.H. It’s really a beautiful somewhat tranceish song

i think the libertines were ace,one of my fave bands ever,baby shambles i think are better than dpt’s.i went to see pete play solo at royal albert hall and he filled the place well.was real good…he takes drugs…ooooh gosh,a rock star that takes drugs,unthinkable -espesially in this day and age.petes a brilliant songwriter and not too bad on guitar,i knew she wasn’t English For she spoke it far too well
