i want to audition for competition team at my dance studio, but does anyone know what they mean by “dance and theater” team?

as in, what kind of dance would we be doing, exactly?

Usually these groups are variety groups, so you will most likely be expected to do a lot of different styles. Hip hop, jazz. ballet, street, tap.. Get the gist? It’s waaaaaaaaaaaaaay fun.

There are some dancers that can’t act, and some actors who can’t dance. Theatrical dancing is usually combined with other aspects of showmanship. The more you can do, the greater the chance you will be chosen.
