What happened to our freedom of choice?

I’m a goth and I’m into witchcraft i also smoke alot of weed which is my choice but my Dad found out i was smokin weed and know i’m grounded and he thinks cos i’m into witchcraft i’m a satanist and it really bothers him. I don’t know what to do i think we should all be able to choose what we do but he doesn’t listen to me and right now we just don’t get on at all, he is impossible to talk to and doesn’t understand anything i say. I won’t change and i won’t stop smoking weed or doing witchcraft cos i don’t think i should i think we should all be able to choose what we want to do and it doesn’ harm anyone else but how can i make my Dad understand when he doesn’t want to listen and why can’t people have freedom to choose how they live thier own lives????

lol, my friends brother sounds like you,,,,his dad caught him (hes 16) and he sat him down, got out a shot of scotch and said as long as your mother doesnt find out its ok with me………..now down that, and spark up lol!!!!

There you go then. “Freedom of choice” doesn’t exist till you get out of mommy and daddy’s house and have your own bills to pay, job to hold down etc. Doing something illegal in someone else’s house isn’t exactly smart. I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with pot, don’t get me wrong, but while you’re under their roof you have to live by their rules. You screw up THEY get burned.

Parents don’t get the want for kids to rebel against religion. Offer him some of your books to read if he won’t listen to you. If that doesn’t work, just tone it down a little, compromise and don’t get caught with weed at your parents house.

i would complealty stand up to him make him sit down and listen to your views explain to him that no matter what he does you arnt gona change be firm but dnt do it in a way that you are ******** on his face because he will then just turn around and fight back what eva you do dont raise your voice and keep verry calm if he dosent understand then i feel verry sorry for you and depending on how old you are find somewhere else to live that way you will have your freedom of choice because in there eyes there always gona b in control aslong as your under there roof
