Google Sketchup terrain importing.

Im having difficuilty importing terrain into sketchup from google earth…
When i press the tool button to get terrain into sketchup, it switches to my task view… takes an image and then transfers it to sketchup though when it shows in sketchup it only shows as a large tile with no terrain image on it. Why wont the image show?
