Does anyone live in Antarctica?

I just started wondering this when I was looking at that map thing on your left and I dragged around and saw Antarctica, it didn’t have any divided sections so I wondered does any one live there?

As Ikari said, there are a number of scientific bases down there with hundreds of scientists. During the Antarctic winter the number decreases as many return home, but some stay through year-round.

There are no non-scientific towns or human populations however. The Antarctic Treaty also prevents claim or establishment of military bases by any country.

http://www.coolantarctica.com/Antarct…

that’s a cool site about Antartica which will give you more information about the scientists who live there (though none permanently).

No one can live there year round because of the weather but scientists live there for p to 6 months. After that it is winter and no one could survive there. Pilots in the air force in there to fly the scientists around and bring more supplies. I know this because my dad is one of the pilots who goes there.

Only scientist probably but thats only temporarily because if they did stay for a long time they would probably die of the cold.
