This is amazingly clear sometimes on this site.

Why do we continue? Look up a story I wrote once called ‘The Dragon’.

This is also true if you replace “the experience of others” with “evidence”

I don’t believe it. Prove it to me and I still won’t believe it.

If somebody thinks they’re a hedgehog, presumably you just give ‘em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Isn’t it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?

I like Adams but I also like Einstein… ;)

“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”

“Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.”

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.”
