My best friend just lost his mom to the Bombay(India) terrorist attacks.

He’s 18 and studying halfway across the world. I don’t know how to make him feel better. His mom was everything to him. He’s not close to his father or sister. He just moved to his university a while back and is having a horrid time there as it is. With this new news, I really don’t know how he’d cope. He’s all alone right now. I wish i could be there. What should I do? Please help.

Maybe he should take some time off of school… That’s really terrible. Best of luck to him.

I was insisting on it earlier, but he stuck with it for his mom. Now, i’m pretty sure he’d stay there. But i’ll still try talking him out of it though…

Maybe you can talk to him on the phone if you can’t talk to him in person. If not then write to him, email, any other way of communication. It’s better then nothing, and for you want to be a good friend, communicating with him will comfort him.

Post a replyJust try to be there for him as much as you can. It doesn’t necessarily have to be face-to-face, a letter or email will do it just as well. Try instant messanging, it’s just as good.
