Firefox!
since firefox is one of the best browsers available (go to hell, safari.) And its certainly better than Internet Explorer (but then, what isnt?) I thought id make this. Firefox is run off Add-ons, so i would like you to list the name and functionality of the plug-ins you use in firefox. Optionally, you can add both the link to download them in case someone else would like to use them, and a screenshot of your browser pointing out all the good stuff. ill start out.
i use:
FoxClocks - Displays clocks in a toolbar that display any 3 global times you choose (ie: Dresden, Germany; London, England; and Beijing, China.)
,a href=”https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/34404/foxytune s-3.0.4-fx+mz+tb+sm.xpi”>Foxytunes - Allows you to control most media players from the browser window. Allows you to collapse your media player into foxytunes (it disappears from the program bar)
FoxyProxy - Proxies, dawg.
Tab Renamizer - Click to rename all your tabs to a list of presets. or make your own. “The best cure for paranoia”
ForecastFox - Displays a 3-day forecast, including a constantly updating “current weather” on a browser bar. has temperature and weather conditions, as well as warnings for when a weather advisory is in effect for your area.
Speed Dial - instead of opening a blank new tab, it brings up a list of programmable favorite sites to click for a shortcut
FlagFox - displays the flag of the nation the website is based in in the URL bar
Chatzilla - Built-in IRC Client
WoT - stands for Web of Trust, displays whether a site is rated as dangerous or not based on feedback from Wot users on Trustworthiness, Child Safety, Vendor Reliability, and Privacy. If its rated badly, you will be warned, and can add the site to your “whitelist”, or a list of sites that just appear as a blank page instead of loading.
Video DownloadHelper - Allows you to download and convert videos from sites like youtube
Adblock Plus - Blocks popups and built-in ads
Fast Download Helper - see download helper
Cooliris - Allows you to scroll over an icon that appears when you hover your mouse over a link. it shows you a preview of what that link takes you to
Piclens - allows you to view all the pictures and/or videos on a site in slideshow/album style
Fire.fm - web radio
Better Gmail 2 - adds a slew of crap to gmail like skins and folders
BugMeNot - allows you to “bypass compulsory login” by automatically logging in with preset username and passwords.
Download Statusbar - replaces the downloads window with a handy status bar at the bottom of the screen
Customize Google - similar to Better Gmail 2
MediaWrap - all-in-one media player for Firefox
Screen Grab! - like taking a screenshot, but instead saves a whole webpage as an image instead of just what you can see
User Agent Switcher - switch the identity of your browser. You can even disguise yourself as Googlebot
Xoopit for Gmail - easy way to share files, movies, music, etc. over email.
Deutsches Worterbuch - German dictionary for the Spellchecker
URL Fixer - automatically fixes typos in URLs. (ex, people commonly mistype and spell ‘.con’ instead of ‘.com’, or only put 2 Ws instead of 3, this automatically remedies these)
