Yeah, it’s that type of weather now here in Aus for the snakes to start investigating our back yards.

Make sure ur yard is clear of sticks, leaves, roofing iron, wood etc. Anything they can hide under, they will.

How big was it ?

it wasnt very big maybe about 60cm (just guessing)
very skinny aswell,,
so were thinking its either a baby one
with a mother somewhere
or thats how big they grow?
we’re not sure at all.

we have water bowls around nearly every corner of our house mayb about 5 altogether
for my dog,,
will this have something to do with it?

theres not alot u can do to look for any more snakes hanging round, as Gabz says, clear an areas theyre likly to hide
I have dogs outside and live in tiger snake territory too, lol, I keep the local snake catchers number next to my phone + $50 in the kitty as he likes direct payment for his services and its a good idea to check ur local vets on which is best equiped to handel snake bites.
You found a baby, they grow up to around 2 meters
The tiger snake resides around the south eastern QLD, N.S.W, eastern areas, Victoria, south-eastern S.A. and parts of W.A.
the Black tiger snake is found in coastal areas of S.A and Tas
As with most snake species, when encountered they are likly to retreat, however are dangerous when provoked

You can train dogs to stay away from snakes. I was reading on the net.
I have a Rotti, she always tells us where goanna’s are by barking. But yesterday she found a snake skin, quite big. She was really werie of it. I just told her to get back, but I live in fear she will get bit.
