i need to know how to put a password on my computer
before it boots so that no one will have access to it while im not at home

I am afraid that is not possible. If you mean a password for your user account then I can sort that out for you.
It sounds like you’re talking about a BIOS password

Yes but I think she means so people cant even boot up windows. I don’t think she means a password that stops people entering the BIOS
Possibly. You’re referring to a user account, right? Obviously that would solve it. :)
Go into the bios and set up the password in the security section set it to ask for password at boot. This will keep people out of your system totally. Remember to wright it down so you don’t forget it. If you know what your doing that one is easy to get around make sure that you also setup a password for your OS also. Hope this helps :-)

LMAO I do that also. I always say I’m going to put this where I can find it and forget it and cant find it anyway. :-)
