Break things down into small parts and take a break after you do each part. Break homework down - say I will do 2 math problems, then I will get up and empty the dishwasher, then 2 more problems, then I will make my bed - keep yourself moving. If a job seems too big to do then set the timer and tell yourself “I will work at this for 10 minutes”. When the 10 minutes is up you will either be involved and want to keep going on it or you may have to give yourself a 10 minute break to do something fun or another small job, then get back to the job and work 10 more minutes on it. Even if you get sidetracked you will still have done 10 minutes work on it and every little bit helps!

Your mantra - every little bit helps!
Your strategy - use a timer and promise yourself a break or change in activity.

Warning - if you promise yourself a fun activity after 10 minutes “work” you better limit the fun activity to 10 minutes also!

well i have a similar problem, mine is that when i am doing something, i see something else that needs done and start doing that with out finishing the first thing i started, now that can go on and on.. i have had at least 4 things going on, and nothing getting done but confusing me about what i need to do next.. then i STOP and say .. oh, i am doing it again..!!! so back to the very first thing .. to Finish it then go to the next.. i have to make my self stop and realize that this is going on.. and it has been working.. some people might call that multitasking, well apparently,, i am no good at it ..hahaha.. but it does happen way to often. i hope that maybe this may help you somehow.. even though you get bored with what you are doing at the time.. try making yourself stay and finish that first thing u started. see if it helps. good luck. =)
by the way, dr.s have a name for everything, i am not “anti-dr”.. i just know alot about them , from passed experince’s..
