why would a judge and a lawyer agree to give a mom her children and when she tried to kill herself in front of them and they remember.

My husband and his first wife divorced after she had an affair got pregnant and ttried to kill herself then he got them during the divorce and she never wanted to see them ever until her mom talked her into it. Then when it came time for the divorce to be finalized she got them. which i cant figure out. well they both have full joint custody but she thinks she has to control it all. When we got together we had the kids almost all the time because she would get bored or want to go out and drink or something yet we had to pay child support. She went out and had four more kids and took my husband back to court to get more child support because her family had expanded. its all crazy the kids want to live with us but she wont let them and when they say that they get yelled at by her. we dont have access to as much money as her so we cant afford the court costs of going after full custody but we are saving up so we can but i just dont understand please help

well is she hurting the kids while they are in her care? Like not necessarily physically, but maybe emotionally or neglecting them? cause you did say “he would get bored or want to go out and drink or something.” If so, maybe you can get proof and show it to local authorities. that way you can just get the kids taken away from her and consequently get full custody without having to pay for court. ???

good luck proving anything her parents are major money people in the community and i agree that NE is a state that gives kids to their mom no matter if its in the best interest of the child. yes she emotionally abuses them she yells at them if they say they love me or thier dad and i am so sick and tired of it

If you report her to Child Protective Services a full investigation will be made of everyone. This investigation will go on for months until the bureau is satisfied that everyone is doing what’s right for the children.

They will stop by at different times during the day and evening by just dropping in. I know families that have gone through this and it can get very ugly. But, some have gained custody of the children.

I don’t know why the courts saw in favor of this Mom.

If she has tried to commit suicide, I just don’t know why they let her go. My ex husband uncle tried to commit suicide and they kept him at the hospital for 3 months. He had to have shock treatments, etc. It doesn’t make sense that they would just let her walk.

When the children reach the age of 12 in some states they allow the children to make up their minds at to who they want to live with. Hopefully this will be the case for you, if not sooner. Good luck.

There’s no justice if you don’t have a huge amount of money. I had heard about people selling their business and their homes in order to pay to have their children back.

My daughter and her husband went after his son from a previous marriage. It cost countless hours of dealing with the police and the two families came head to head numerous times. The ex-wife threathened my daughter numerous times and she was a big woman.

After all the years spent and the investment, they finally got the boy because she OD on drugs, had a heart attack and died.
