Ok I need some help I just got moved up to varsity

football at my highschool I’m a sophomore and I am a really great reciever but I get so worked up to catch the ball and do good I drop it every time. but when I was on the JV I had the best hands on the team. I need some help anyone have any advice?

its your nervs totally.
before you go out to play for practice/game you have to get your head in the right place. seriously focus on where your at, what you need to do and how you need to do it. start a pre-game ritual to do so you can just chill and focus and after you get your head in the right place let your natural athleticism take over. if they moved you up its for a reason….you already proved yourself…the pressure is in your head…

you must have talent,relax take it all in,its high school,,just focus on learning the routes,asking questions of your teammates,especially the cornerbacks and linebackers,learn what gives them trouble.
carry a football with you everywhere,,,and always take care of the quarterback,build his confidence and yours will grow.football is just a game and very few ever get that collage scholarship,,,as a coach i will have a fella with a great attidude and some talent,, over a cocky allstar any day.and most importantly,,nothing matters untill you have the ball,so just focus on getting the ball and everything else will happen.
