life help: What are you talking about? - Help.com

What are you talking about?

HE WHO INVOKES BLESSING ON HIMSELF (LAND)……… SHALL DO SO BY SAYING, MAY THE GOD OF TRUTH…… BLESS ME. ISAIAH 65:16
Did you know you can bless your self by what you say? The bible says: ‘He who invokes blessing on himself…. Shall do so by saying.” may the God of truth…. Bless me, because the former trouble is forgotten” Two important truth is taught in this scripture.
1. Your own words have more power to affect you than any body else. Ultimately, it is not what others say that counts; it’s what you say to yourself after they get through talking! You always have the last word.
2. You will never enjoy what God has for you in the future while you are still living in the past. To enter the Promised Land, you must first leave the wilderness .So, come into agreement with God; begin to say what He says about you .This is not small matter. What you say from the time you get up in the morning until you go to bed at night not only influences your day, it influences the entire outlook and direction of your life. If you have been praying asking God for specific answers, you can affect the out come by making sure what you say lines up with what He says. In other words; get in harmony with God.
Your body is God’s temple, so be careful what you allow to come out of your mouth (1corinthians 3:16). Fault-finding and negativity destroy and tear down, but scripturally based, faith-filled words open the door to God’s blessings. That is why Paul writes: Let’ no … worthless talk (ever) come out of your mouth, but only such ….. As is ….beneficial, Ephesians 4:29). So before you sound of ask yourself; is this beneficial?
If you continue to say; I am poor you will remain poor forever but if you continue to say iam rich in Christ Jesus, He will continue to bless you. Our tongue is like a fire according to the bible. You can read James 3:6 or read from verse 1 to the end to understand the scripture well. Every morning say something Good to someone and to yourself. There is great blessing in this. Please give it a try and your life will never be the same. Let us have positive MIND and so shall it be onto us. Jesus loves you so do i.

Some very nice sentiments there.
Its a shame that many people spend their time finding faults with others, or criticising what they don’t understand or believe themselves.

And yet, so few people are willing to look at their own weaknessess and make them strengths. So many people blame their lives on others.

You are right. It is not beneficial to say negative things to another person (yes I have done this, even to the person I loved). I will do as you say for it is beneficial.

To both of you I would think :)

Now imagine you are kind to your loved one.
It puts your loved one in a very good mood.
Maybe your loved one would have been in a bad mood that day if you hadn’t.

So your loved is now in a better mood, goes out into the world, happy and smiling because he/she received love from you.

Your loved one is in the supermarket, in a good mood…
Someone shorter cannot reach something on a high shelf.
Your loved one, possibly would have not noticed this stranger in need, because they were otherwise occupied with feeling unhappy.

But they are in a good mood, so they help the stranger.
They stranger is not used to people being kind to her.
This puts the stranger in a good mood.

Later that day the stranger is in a good enough to go out to nightclub.
She was in an average mood that day, and wasn’t feeling like going out.
But now she finds she is smiling, and singing little tunes to herself.

She goes out to the nightclub.
A band is playing. A careless man bumps into another man and spills his drink.
The careless man is also rude, and does not apologise or offer to replace the drink.

The other man is a little upset now, because he didn’t have much money and that was his last drink, and he cannot afford another.

The stranger sees this and thinks it unjust and a shame.
She has some money spare and she buys the man a new drink.
They start a conversation, and enjoy listening to the music of the Big Band era.

After a while there conversation leads to what they both do for work.
The stranger doesn’t like her job much. It turns out the man she has just met’s brother runs a business that she has always been interested in working in.

They exchange phoone numbers.
A couple of days later the stranger receives a call, and is asked to come in for a job interview.
She gets the job.

The stranger’s new boss is very impressed with her.
A few wekks later, he is happy because the stranger has some innovative ideas on how to improve the way the business works, and all the employees are able to get a slight raise in their paycheck.

The stranger buys a toy ukelele and puts it under the Christmas Tree at the local department store.
A girl she has never met is happy because she gets a ukelele for Christmas.

Many years later the little girl is grown up and becomes a talented singer song writer. She writes a song that is very popular, and makes a lot of money from it.
She starts a music school for underprivileged children.

The world is a better place in ways you can’t imagine because you were kind to the one you love. :)

Don’t know why I received an invite to this. I don’t believe in any man made gods. If you want to preach there many other sites out there that you can post on. As for your lines 1 & 2 its called self confidence and no god gave me that. I am who I am because I made my life the way I want it. When I die I will become part of the universe, everything and everyone imaginable even unimagined as of yet. I have no need of you man made god or the words that was supposedly said. Hope this helps :-)

You may be on to something here.I don’t know that much about testosterone, but I think that putting women down, which often happens in the Middle East, is not good on many levels: it hurts the economy when you lose half the work force, it creates low self-image for women, it probably puts additional pressures on marriages, and it allows men to go loony with their ideological nonsense. If women were to become empowered politically and economically then this would act to balance a lot of the ideological extremism in the region. Women, for the most part, are more pragmatic in their approach, having the responsibility to bring life and to care for life. This pragmatism could go a long way to neutralize some of the hate, and to move the region in the direction of economic productivity, and eventually peace.

Thanks for the invite.

Maybe’ll I walk around saying, “May the God of truth bless me.” I wonder if it works? I’d like to have a true sense of things.

I’m not sure what to make of the ‘religious’ aspect of this post as that bible-quote seems to present a different message from every other translation out there:

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“Because he who is blessed in the earth Will be blessed by the God of truth; And he who swears in the earth Will swear by the God of truth; Because the former troubles are forgotten, And because they are hidden from My sight!

GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995)
Whoever asks for a blessing in the land will be blessed by the God of Truth. Whoever swears an oath in the land will swear by the God of Truth. Past troubles are forgotten. They are hidden from my eyes.

King James Bible
That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

American King James Version
That he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from my eyes.

American Standard Version
so that he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

Bible in Basic English
So that he who is requesting a blessing will make use of the name of the true God, and he who takes an oath will do so by the true God; because the past troubles are gone out of mind, and because they are covered from my eyes.

Douay-Rheims Bible
In which he that is blessed upon the earth, shall be blessed in God, amen: and he that sweareth in the earth, shall swear by God, amen: because the former distresses are forgotten, and because they are hid from my eyes.

Darby Bible Translation
so that he who blesseth himself in the land shall bless himself by the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the land shall swear by the God of truth: because the former troubles shall be forgotten, and because they shall be hidden from mine eyes.

English Revised Version
so that he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

Webster’s Bible Translation
That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from my eyes.
