Second chance is a load of croc

OMFG ok this is just a rant. My brother and I both had issues with high school so we’re in this program now. well this program was doing alot of good for him. he was almost totally turned around. AND NOW THEYRE kicking him out. im just really afraid that he’s gonna get back into the heavy drug scene. i hope Marti (the woman who kicked him out) chokes. she just messed up to lifes

mine cause i gotta watch him fall back into his old ways and watch my dad look at him like a peice of ****.

my brothers cause he doesnt have any other choices. he has to have my dad think he is just a huge disappointment.

wtf is wrong with the world today????

Well than if he was never doing his work, than it was your brother who got himself kicked out of the program not Marti.

You and your brother need to start taking responsibility for your own lives and actions and stop blaming others for your own mistakes, or all the programs and second chances in the world wont help you.

What your brother needs to do now, is speak with Marti and do everything this person expects your brother to do in order to get reinstated into the program. He needs to admit his mistake and correct it. This is assuming he really does want a second chance.

First of all the fact that you and your brother are in a “program” tells a lot. Da-11 said take responsibilty for your life. Don’t play the victim when you messed up. Your brother got tossed for a reason and I’m almost 100% sure it was his fault. You’ll never amount to anything in life if you and your brother don’t grow up. You must be an incredible disappointment to your parents and would be ashamed and embarrassed to be in a program like that and would do all I could to get out of it.

There are kids who get messed up for a lot of reasons. I won’t judge as to whether or not they should have let certain things affect them, e.g., abuse, emotionally unavailable parents, or personality disorders. The fact remains, however, that NO program, therapist, medication regimen, or doctor can help anyone until that person decides he or she really wants to change. I think your brother had a “relapse.”
Don’t know the particulars so I cannot offer an opinion on the “merits” of what the school administrator did.

Assuming that the administrator isn’t someone with an innate dislike of your brother, it is possible that he “crossed the line” one too many times.

Again, however, at some point we have to assume responsibility for ourselves. The only alternative is to become a ward of the state.

Perhaps your brother could reapply–assuming he has resolved the last problem that led to his dismissal.

[quote Da⌐11]Well than if he was never doing his work, than it was your brother who got himself kicked out of the program quote]

no thats not wat i said. She said he was never doing his work. but he was. better than the actual employees. Dan loved this program and what it was doing for him.
he just got out of the drug scene and becoming alot more responsible. this program was all he had to keep him going. and they took it away. because they read in his file that he had past issues with authority so they decicded that he was going to cause problems. they didnt even look at how he was doing here

So a program for second chances, turned someone away for past probloms. That doesnt make a whole lot of sence. Some how I disbelive your recount

no actually im not. the reason im in this program is because the teachers at my high school refused to accept my Dyslexia. But thank u for callin me a disappointment to my parents and that im a shame to the world. and what have u done with ur life??? hmm.
my parents are very proud of me. Mainly because i didnt beat this **** out of my arrogant teachers. but thats ok because they were just like u and they judged ppl before they got the real infomation

Well, I don’t think your brother was treated fairly. What was important was the “here and now,” not the past. As they have judged your brother, so shall they be judged.

I’m glad that you are not letting your dyslexia hold you back. Some very brilliant people have had to deal with this affliction.

I think your parents should be proud of you. And you should be proud of yourself.

I hope your brother doesn’t let the actions of some stupid, ignorant people sour him on life. There are many small-minded people in this world. You must realize that, but NEVER allow them to judge YOUR potential by THEIR limitations!
