Is it a copyright infringement, if I use a song title for a domain of a site?

I’m thinking of registering my own site and forum, and I want to choose a favorite song/album as a domain name. However, the songs and albums are probably protected by copyright and no one can use them. Do you think I’m allowed to do that? I can’t see how this can do any harm to the musicians, but who knows.

I hope there’s someone around who has experience or is informed about the laws.

I don’t know if you’re going to get the answer you need here. Why don’t you research the band, and try to get in touch with either them, or their management company. The record company may have a say in it too.
Or, it might not matter a bit. I think if you’re using the song or album title, playing the song, or mentioning the band’s name in an effort to sell something, you’ll need to get written permission and may possibly have to pay them for the right.

A bit of research would solve this.

And I didn’t mean a particular song, 353085177. I wanted to check the details before I pick one of all my favorites.

As Cailean said, I’m not going to use it in any way to sell anything. It will not have any commercial purpose at all.
