Please help me!

I am a healthy, thirteen year-old girl and I weigh about 113 lbs. In the past year I have gained lots of weight compared to my other friends. I know everyone develops differently, but there is lots of fat I would like to burn on my stomach and my thighs. I am just a lot bigger now and when I’m wearing tight sweats or leggings you can tell and I can tell, too. I am proud of what I have but I know that this is not what I used to have, even when I was twelve. I would love to lose weight because I do not like being like this but I also love to eat. Help me!

join a school activity like sports and every afternoon you can run with your friends or a realative don’t worry i’m 14 i used to be just like that

No but I excersise all the time! I play lots of sports and I try and do cardio workouts but sometimes I dont. I need more than just “excersie”

Do you think that your diet is reasonable? If you eat more than you need you will gain weight. Sweets are the worst for weight gain, because they pack a lot of calories but don’t make you feel full very fast. Fruits and vegetables are critical to a good diet, so try to get plenty of those on a daily basis. Talk to your parents about your dietary goals so that they can help you by purchasing healthy foods.

If you know that you have some bad eating habits, consider what you might eat instead, or what you might do instead of eating. Avoid eating in front of the TV or while doing other activities, since this contributes to unintentional overeating.

If you do not understand why you are gaining weight, talk to a school counselor or your doctor. There may be other factors that are contributing to your weight gain that a doctor can help you identify.

raw foods contain enzymes which break down carbs and sugars so your body doesn’t store them. Add tiny chopped pieces of raw potato to your mashed potatoes. Steam your veggies instead of boiling them, Celery is the only food that takes more calories to digest than it gives you. without the ranch dressing of course. They did a study where they fed a group of pigs cooked potatos and another group of pigs raw potatoes, the group eating cooked potatos were twice as fat as the pigs fed raw potatos. Sugar stores quick reduce your sugar intake. no soda throughout the day. or just drink one instead of 3. High fructose corn syrup is worse than sugar try drinking JONES soda with cane sugar instead of pepsi with high fructose corn syrup. Eat one candy bar a day instead of a bunch all throughout the day. Or eat organic candy bars for even less sugar to store. When I became allergic to sugar I lost soooo much weight I looked sooo unhealthy. Sugar is the main reason people gain weight. Look at the ingredients in the foods you eat. Ketchup has High fructose corn syrup in it. So buy Organic ketchup witch only has sugar or it may not have any sweeteners in it at all. Always choose food with more fat and less sugar. Fat takes a long time to digest and keeps your stomache full so your body has energy to run on all day. Becarefull of fat free food it just contains more sugars and carbs which are stored as fat. Eat fat and it takes a lot to break it down and digest and less is stored. Try to get used to the sweetness of fruit it has so much flavor with out the added sugars. Your body may be addicted to sugar so it may have a hard time Adjusting to the withdrawl period. But once it gets over it it will crave things with out so much sugar. Look at the french fries you eat buy the ones w/o sugar in the ingredients. If diet change does not help let me know I may have other answers for you=) Its true when they say you are what you eat. so eat less sugar and you will have less tummy and thighs

My daughter gained a lot of weight between 12 and 13 1/2. Then suddenly she sprouted up to 5′7″ and was and still is very slim.
I think if you keep eating healthy foods and doing a decent amount of exercise, you’ll be fine.
