How do I ask my ex bestfriend who is now just a friend to hang out?

We talk once in awhile but really only texting because when we talk in person, were both shy. I want to ask her to hang out but I’m afraid to here her answer and of what she’ll think.

oh i know.
i just already know her answer.
she’s always too busy with her family and neighbors so its always a no.
plus im the one who screwed up our friendship and i dont think she has fully forgiven me yet.
