well, instead of music, how about a good comedy film or good books? maybe they would help.

Most music is not worth listeng to. Pills will only make you more depressed. Try expressing how you feel through your own music, pik up a drum or guitar. you may enjoy “Mars Volta” or “At the drive in” that is the only new music I enjoy listening to. My bofriend writes his own music w/o words and is full of emotion I wish you could hear it however NAET tratments cured my endless cycles of depression over night it is an awsome, real, holistic, revolutionary new treatment to fix whatever is wrong with you Naet.com will tell you what practitioners are in your area. That is a much better rute to take than pills. If it is hard for you to believe me or understand the treament call a NAET practitioner and sk them how NAET will cure you depression.

You like Mars Volta!!!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD Finally, someone!

Allright, you don’t have to force yourself to emotions. This thing your going through will pass, but maybe there is something else in your life you have to focus on. I’m a musician, and I no longer carry with me my music when I go from place to place (which I do all the tame). It happens to me that when I’m not hearing my music, I’m free to let my imagination create it’s own flow of music, and it’s way more enjoyable than hearing it out of an Ipod… I mean, I’m in control, the music is in me.

Even if I hear music I would not generlly listen to when I’m traveling, (I live in Lima, PerĂº, the bus here always has cumbia or reggeaton) it helps me becuase it gives me variety and perspective to what I normaly listen to, and I can create rythms out of it, even if I dislike the music.

The trick is not getting bored of the music you like. If you like a song and you wanna hear it, that’s good, but if you here it all the time to make you feel some way or the other it will have the opposite effect (You won’t feel nothing). Why are you searching for emotions?, they just come an go. Live your life, don’t depend on emotions to take you through it, just let them come, don’t force them. In fact, you will maybe learn that the sound of silence is invaluable, beatiful, and incredibly sublime.

Learn to be open, if you don’t feel anything it’s not a bad thing, just do something else that will help you.

And enjoy, don’t go through extreme stuff to feel. Let emotions come on their own, they are not the most important thing in life. Being happy is an attitude, not a bunch of emotions.

ChavyWasabi you might want to stop relying on your imagination to enjoy music. I have for the past 13 years and possibly longer than that and it has been pretty depressing. I listen to it in my head like a radio station and simulate the songs using the brain waves to motivate myself. Its something I did unconsciously for years without thinking about it until I realized it around the age of 21 I could control the music in my brain. Its unhealthy practice and has driven me into deep depression these past 5 years to almost commit suicide several times.

kill your self, life doesnt matter outside of the human brain and culture…nothing is real, humans just see the world/everything from a selfish point of view.
