ok, so i write songs, but i have writers block!
can anyone think of a good topic for a song, or give me a line to work with or something? i know it should be about emotions or experiences or something, and i have alot that i’ve writen like that, but i can’t seem to get started. help!

Dude, I was vampire/werewolf obsessed before Stephanie Meyer dreamed about one fang.
Best way to cure writers block is to not think about writing songs. When you become inspired, it’ll come back to you

Ok….first of all, listen to Tori Amos’s first 3 albums. There is nothing else like it for lyrical content. listen to ‘horses’ and you will see what I mean. If I write songs or poetry, I often start off with something cryptic. The distorted beginning of an Idea, that slowly evolves into a meaning that is deep in my heart that I never even knew could be expressed with these words and literation.
Advanced forms of poetry really brought out my songwriting abilities.
Look into writing Sonnets, Villanelles and Sestinas in thier various rhyming forms. Just write and rhyme and don’t think too much about the meaning until an inherant meaning happens subconsiously….then you could have a masterpiece..
