Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
Aw, tash. I understand how you feel. This is really a tough one for women to go through. And no matter what advice you get here, you will have to be the one struggling with the pain. So, do yourself a big favor, sweetheart. Let the feelings GOOOOO. If you want to cry, do it. If you want to pound the wall, do that too.
Let it OUT. Because if you don’t NOW, you will be doing it in some of the strangest ways later. And you won’t even realize that some of the strange things that you do later will be because of the pain that you are feeling NOW. So yell, scream, beat that pillow.
Get yourself super busy on Friday. Come here to Help.com and help people like crazy! Just keep yourself and your heart busy.
But as I advised, let it out.
Even if you need to come here and just rant up a storm, do it!
It will help, believe me.
Or you can hit my shout box.
Come on in and give me a slug or two if it will make you feel better! I can take it.
OK?
Be good to your self. Edie
itd just so hard i just dont know what to do
when he told me he was getting married icouldnt cryt for over a week and i just dontknow what im goin to be like on friday and god i just wanna punch him in the face because he thinks im fine about it and GASP happy for him when im really not
im just so angry atm, im just lookin at a train wreck about to happen and cant do anything about it
I know, sweetheart, I know. It’s ok. Sometimes things like this happen to all of us, and it hurts so ******* bad.
Oh boy, LOL, please don’t punch him in the face, babe. I actually did that once, and all it got me was a day in court and a anklet on my foot. It was only for 48 hours, but I was a prisoner in my own home.
Step back ok? When ever you start to feel yourself beginning to wig out, just sit down, close your eyes, and count backwards, slowly from 100.
Think of things that you love.
100—my family
99—my freedom
98—my home
Well of course, you would have to use your own images.
Just keep your mind busy thinking of the GOOD things in your life.
Right now, you are going through hell in your heart.
But even though it doesn’t seem like it NOW, it will pass.
In in the meantime, just don’t cave in to it.
I see a very passionate, and caring person in you.
Someone will come along in your life and see that person.
And you won’t really forget this guy who is getting married, but you WILL be able to find a very nice place to keep him right over there on the left side of your heart.
Try to think beyond Friday.
Try to see what it is that you want for YOU.
YOU are the important thing here.
Don’t forget that.
Hugs to you. Edie
What are you doing just sitting around!!! fight for your love!!!! go now!!!
im not fighting for a man who doent love me back
anyway i think the marriage will fail anyway because he has only knowen her for 3 months and that is the other thing that is gettin to me is that he is marrrig a girl he has only knowen for 3 months
Wedddings can be tough.
I was at a friend’s wedding about a month ago.
The two people getting married are friends with my ex.
Someone I loved deeply and completely, but for reasons I won’t go into it didn’t work out. She’s been with her current b/f for longer than she was with me, which was a long time, and the hardest thing was that after four years of being apart, she still didn’t even have the common decency to make eye contact or say hello, despite the fact that the current boyfriend did say hello to me.
What was weird was that two drunken female friends of mine, who I’ve fancied in the past, were both making moves on me. One was in a relationship at the time, and her new boyfriend showed up… and was giving me dirty looks, despite me trying to keep her at bay,
And the other girl, who would seriously date in the drop of a hat, grabbed me and pulled me onto the dance floor right next to where my ex was dancing!
Made me feel really uncomfortable, but excited at the same time, that this girl was finally showing some obvious interest in me, after seven years of complete non-interest!
And I have another wedding to go to on Saturday!
Weddings are strange things.
I think you are doing the right thing by not being there.
And I think on Friday you should just do all the things that make you feel relaxed happy and good about yourself!
Three months? Ah, Tash, his marriage is doomed. You cannot know someone in just three months.
And he didn’t love you back? And he shows such poor judgment in marrying someone he met only three months ago?
So, what exactly did you ever see in Mr. Monumentally Bad Judgment?
i just fell in love with him from the moment i met him and he was such a nice caring guy and well i was gonna tell him how i felt and then he told me he getting married and that just did it.
we never went out or slept together but i just loved him from that moment and it is so hard.
but its his chioce and i cant do anything about it.
iv stopped talking to him but hes on my mind all the time and i just cant get any closure on him.
The only closure will be with time, tash.
And even then, it might never be total closure.
He has touched your heart in a big way, and there he will stay.
Maybe a little further away with time, but always there in memory.
A friend of mine is going thru the same thing. a guy she was messing with is getting married and she is really going thru it right now. My advice is to PRAY. God will work everything out in his time and you will see he was just making a way for the right guy to come along. Just take it as a lessoned learned and move on.
