If you just got it, why do you need the passward? did you just steel it?

no i didn’t steel it. i thought i was locking the keys but i was locking the ipod i am super dumb when it comes to this stuff

you know how you can do that with cell phones that is what i thought was going to happen now it is only showing a lock and i need the password

The initial password is probably 0000, 1111 or 1234.

Did you register it with Apple? If you did, you should be able to contact them through their website support. I’m sure they get this problem all the time. Their support pages should have the answer you’re looking for under FAQ.
