It sounds to me like you might just have the flu. I’m sure you don’t need a lecture on why it is so important to take the pill every day and at the same time every day, so I wont give one to you but please be careful if you don’t want the stress of worrying if you’re pregnant. I would suggest waiting until you are late on your period, most pregnancy tests can’t even detect the pregnancy hormone until a few days before your period is due.

Don’t worry too much, hun. I’m sure everything will be fine :)

Go buy a pregnancy test. There is something called the Phantom Pregancy where convince your self you are going to have a baby but I dont think that is what it is :P XD Good Luck!

I went through a pregnancy “scare” with my wife recently (we want to conceive, so it wasn’t really a scare), so I have been reading about symptoms of pregnancy andabout pregnancy tests. (That is the extent of my knowledge, so take it for what it’s worth.)

Your symptoms do not sound like pregnancy, they sound like a virus.

An over-the-counter pregnancy test won’t help at this point, and although they claim to work several days before your expected period they are really not reliable until a day or two after. To find out sooner, you can get a *quantitative* blood test (or beta hCG test). This is a blood test that is available at many walk-in clinics (like campus health centers, the clinics in stores like Target, or a Planned Parenthood clinic). This test is always more accurate than a urine test, and it is possible about a week sooner. (A similar type of blood test for pregnancy is called a *qualitative* blood test — it is no more accurate than a urine test, so be sure what kind the clinic offers).

Thankyou everyone. I do have a pregnancy test but i can not use it until my period is late. I understand what you mean about it sounding like i am ill but it comes and goes, is that normal? Like my throat hurts only either in the morning or at night. And some night but not every night my face starts burning up. Also my legs have been really aching, and another thing that im not sure is relevant but.. Almost every night when i go to bed my legs get really itchy! I tried changing my sheets but they still icth, sometimes my arms too.

That is not too unusual for a virus. It actually gets a lot of kids in trouble because they feel sick in the morning and don’t want to go to school, then they feel better during the day, and sick again at night and their parents think they are faking it. It is actually because of the body’s cycles of hormones (unrelated to pregnancy hormones) that drive things like alertness, hunger, and sensitivity to pain.

The itchy legs I don’t know about, but it doesn’t sound pregnancy related. You might have a sensitivity to something like a fabric softener that you use for your sheets, or it could just be tight pants or stockings, or dry skin. Is it your whole legs or just your lower legs? Do you live in a dry climate (anyplace that it is cold right now)? The humidity inside drops when the temperature drops outside, so your house might just be getting dryer at night in December, making dry skin worse. Is the itchy legs thing new to you, just in the past couple weeks?
