the only way to get over this is to put yourself in social situations as much as possible. I know it sounds horrible! Try to have some mantra that you can repeat to yourself that will be soothing to you when you are feeling really uncomfortable. Start out with just ten minutes or so at a time, then build up!

Is it all social situations, or just ones with new people? Do you have some people, friends or family, around whom you do feel comfortable?
