Is it wrong to crush someone who has hurt you?

I’ve recently had to deal with having my eyes opened for the first time. The people around me who I trusted have shown their true colours. I’m moving on and leaving them behind. Yet part of me wants to hurt them SO BAD. They’re constantly carried through life and never worry about anything worth worrying about because there’s always someone there to foot the bill, or be there when they feel low.

I have enough information about these individuals to destroy their lives, and make them see how little they mean to me now, and to open their eyes to the **** that they put me through.

The question is, should I do it? Part of me really wants to.

Any suggestions people?
Thanks.

No, you shouldn’t. You should show that you’re stronger than they will ever be and move on. When they fall, because in time we always fall, they’ll understand, and then they will hurt.
Just let them go and move on, if they’ve put you through so much they’re not even worth your vindication.

True. It’s just the basic feeling of getting back at them. I know it wouldn’t fulfill me, but something makes me want to do it. :-/

Vengeance never gets anybody anywhere. It is a futile move that causes more pain to all involved, it will come back to bite you. Sure it would feel great to crush all those who oppose us, but it doesnt make us move forward. Ignore them and move forward with your life, they are of no consequence in the end.

I know that pain makes you want to share it, but please don’t. The temporary satisfaction is so often replaced with guilt and pain the likes of which are worse than what you have now.

Whilst your concentrating on revenge you are probably missing oppurtunities to better your own life. Forget them and move on. In the long run the best revenge is to be happier than them

Revenge can be satisfying in the short term, but ultimately you would just be stooping to the level they are at. You are better than that.

And getting back at someone is one thing, but destroying their lives really isn’t very nice. Do you want to become the thing you hate?

Of course not!

I say forgive them, but just be wiser and don’t let yourself get hurt again.

Also, people can change. Everyone makes mistake.

Do you think these people are beyond redemption?
If you do, just walk away.
If not, then try to sort it out!

YES! Show those mutherfuckers that they made a big mistake by hurting you. Prove to them that you can play their game 100 time harder.

I’m in a situation dealing with someone who just has the knack for being hurtful, and very precise to who she wants to do it to (she’s an all around mean person, she just hides it well). I’ve seen in sneak out towards others from who she probably wants to hide her negativity.

I work every day to be positive. I repeat affirmations, read books about positive thinking, and try really hard to forgive. However, with her, it’d be like being a doormat. And it happens every day I work with her. Over and over, annoying, annoying person.

Now, I’ll be finished working with her in one week (praise all goodness). We finish our jobs soon, and then off to find another.

In about two months, after never having to see her, I’ll be able to forgive.

However, if I had to see her, or be near her, or hear about her, it’d make things 10X harder, or perhaps feel impossible.

Anyhow, I just want to say three cheers for thinking before you act, because YOU deserve that.

I just try to look into the future. Imagine looking at yourself if you had committed the revenge. How do you feel about what you see? What would you feel proud to see?

How’d things work out?
