DESPERATE COMPUTER IDEAS/HELP NEEDED.
I wanted to back up my iTunes library, and I wanted to delete the old files so that way there wouldn’t be any duplicates that I would have to delete.
Bad idea, none of the music works. No big deal, I just have to go restore the items from the recycle bin.
I do this, and only the folders after O are restored back to the My Music folder. I checked each of the folders, because I figured they might have been put in one of them. No dice.
I really need to know, is there an archive where recycled items go if they’re deleted? Just in case? What about restored items?
I tried to find the System Files folder that the Recycle Bin says that it’s in, but I couldn’t. I checked all through the c/ drive. I tried checking the d/ drive, but even though I have more than a gig of memory used, the folders only showed like 500kb total.
Anyway, if there isn’t a place where this stuff goes just in case you miss-click or something stupid like this happens for the recycle bin, is there for any other deletion folder thingies that do? My brother had something called The Incinerator that encrypted deleted files, so it must have had a reserve.
I really really appreciate any help at all, or any ideas. My music got deleted once before, all of it, when I downloaded a new version of iTunes, and it took days to re-upload all my CDs (hehe, at least I don’t download my music from iTunes, that stuff is DNS encoded and you can’t back it up on CDs or share it).
Once again, thanks for any help at all.
If you want, email me your answers, I’ll try to read these but I’ll probably forget ^_^
