school help: I have a big problem: - Help.com

I have a big problem:

Below me i have a neighbor who smokes and sometimes even we can smell it. I don’t know what to do, i can’t tell her what she should or shouldn’t do (even though i don’t think it would matter, because she smokes in front of her son) but i don’t want to embarass myself in front of my classmates again when the drug dog comes to school and singles me out.Even though i have nothing, the scent is there and now i’m scared because it happened before and i never want it to happen again. What shall i do? (its a nightmare and sometimes i even cry about it)

If she is smoking something illegal, turn her in.

ESPECIALLY if she is doing this in front of her son.

do you live in an apartment? if so it might be in your lease that she can’t smoke inside, ask your landlord.

Nope. doesn’t say so in the lease, and as long as she’s paying rent they won’t kick her out. She’s also not smoking anything illegal. (i’m stuck)

Sounds like it. “/

Maybe even just talk to your landlord and see if there is anything he/she can do about this.

you’ll just have to approach her about it, tell her you have an allergy and she is endangering your health. then if that doesn’t work threaten to bring in the cops.

You could consider moving to a non smoking apartment.

Yeah, it would. I’d really just bring it up to the landlord. Are surrounding neighbors bothered by this too?

It’s harmful.

Common sense.

If it’s a health risk for those surrounding,
they have a right to complain. If someone
wishes to smoke, that’s fine. However, it should
be done at a reasonable and respectable distance.

Haha. What about freedom from the other side?
I agree people have the freedom to smoke, BUT
people also have the right to have a smoke free
home.

Be narrow minded if you please(:
