I think so but we sometimes need to hear someone else say the hard truths. I think deep down I know the answers to my questions.

sometimes they just need someone to talk to that could possibly understand that they might not need that extreme answer to their current situation

No, the most common reason of seen as to why people come here is because they absolutely could not figure out by themselves whatever they were dealing with, and, in desparation, typed “help”.

…but then at that point they may not know how to phrase the question right, and only know how to ask in terms of things they already believe or know.

Exactly. It’s hard for people to know the answer when they don’t even know the question. Sometimes they need a non-judging person to ask them questions that get at the heart of their problems.

I think the problem with most people including myself is we don’t try to fix our problems we just dwell on it till it’s unbearable

That’s unlike me (in general). But it points out that your bigger problem is not any of those specific things to be fixed, but the not trying and dwelling.

This site seems to hold a lot of people up while they are trying to get up and do something, if asking a question gets the confirmation and support you are needing I don’t see why it matters if you know the answer already or not. People need to know they have something that will catch them when they are down.

Help me with: B-O-R-E-D.
