i do.
im on xanax because of it.
I take clonazepam daily, and ativan as needed, and have sleeping pills, but I still find I am scared to go to bed, and that if I do take the sleeping pills I cant get up in the morning because it takes me so long to go to bed that I dont get enough sleep
oh yes i know EXACTLY where u are.
ive missed the past 3 days of school because of that.
but like what r u scared of? do you know?
no, it doesnt make any sense to me. I mean I do have a lot of nightmares, but I dont think its that, its just the actual goign to bed part
well i know that im afraid that i will lay there and not be able to fall asleep.
im also afriad that i will have nightmares just like u cuz i have times where i have them and i know im asleep but i cant wake up because of my pills.
i feel like im gonna have a heart attack.
i am ALSO afraid of creeks and noises i hear at night.
could any of these be what ur experienceing?
actually all of them. I also find it hard to be alone. I am just recently divorced so I am used to having someone there whenI start to panic, now I am alone
im in a different situation with you on that one.
i prefer to be alone.
i wish i could help you. but theres not much to do about it. honestly uve helped me to know that there are others out there.
i hope its the ssame for you.
your not alone.
going to be can be really stressful if youve had a lot of nightmares because you associate bedtime with the bad dreams, either consciously or unconsciously
one thing that may help is to do something very relaxing before bedtime. If your relaxed your less likely to have a nightmare that night. you may also keep a dream journal to write down your dreams, which may help you process what the dreams mean while your awake. Hope that helps
My husband and I would wake up in the middle of the night and find it hard to go back to sleep. So we take Melatonin 3mg. It is sold at the health food stores and it is a product made by our brains.
Some people under stress don’t make Melatonin and so therefore don’t get a good nights sleep.
I would perhaps keep a journal about what I am going to do with my time and how I may seek more security.
I also have the same problem. I take Zoloft 100mg everyday, and Zaleplon 10mg at night. I just started using Zaleplon these past couple of days, because the Melatonin and Trazodone didn’t work. I feel a bit better that I’m not the only one out there with sleeping problems…In fact soon I’m going to a sleep clinic so they can see whats up with my brain when I try to sleep. But the thing I have trouble with along with trying to get to sleep, is actually going to bed. Before I get in bed I always have to check to make sure all of the doors are locked atleast 3 times, make sure all of the pets are okay, check on each member of my family, check my clock around 7 times and make sure the volume is up all of the way(cuz I’m afraid I won’t here it go off in the morning due to the pills, which has happenend alot),and check my whole room(like under the bed,in the closet…) for who knows what. Yep, I’m wierd. =/
Im also afraid to go to bed and I hate being alone. I recently lost someone close to me from suicide and now it has triggered a lot of strange feelings inside, i.e. my Fear of sleeping. I just I don’t like going to sleep sometimes. I think I associate it with being sick. I have a lot of GI issues and most of it seems to get worse at night. I recently started taking ****. John’s Wort for depression and I began having vivid dreams, so now Im afraid to go to sleep because of the dreams (I think); earlier today I liked that fact that I dreamt, now that its dark I hate that I dream. I feel weird and scattered like Im not completely aware of my surroundings/emotions. I may just be extremely tired bc it is 4:18am, but Im afraid to go to sleep. Im weird, I usually do a google search of my symptoms to find similar blogs. There is something comforting to know that others are experiencing the same type of things I am!
Alnaturea, you should check out your symptoms with a doctor. There are medications that can quiet the stomache at night. It’s so important not to diagnose yourself. That can be dangerous and take a long, long time. For instance taking ****. John’s Wort could be more upsetting to your stomache than helping the situation.
Try going on a bland diet for a couple of days to quiet things down. There is a condition called Celiac Disease where the intestines can not digest Gluten. But, a doctor can help sort out your symptoms and save you a lot of needless suffering.
Some religious people believe that when we sleep the soul returns to heaven. So please remember that because it a good thing. Sleep can restoreth your soul.
