I’d go with the longish gold knee high if you are 16 and going to a church wedding!
And yes, it is probably appropriate to wear a dress to such an occasion!

Knee length, the silver mini would be tacky.

She can’t wear a mini to a wedding.

When choosing your outfit for church just keep a few things in mind:

no cleavage,
no mini skirts (below the knee dress/skirt pants are fine as well),
no flashy colours (no gold or silver dresses please).

And Congratulations to your cousin

here’s a piece advice my grandmother used to tell me that I just made up right now!

A wedding is not a disco…
So dress accordingly!

You don’t have to wear a dress, you just have to be smart. A smart top and black trousers would do. Out of the dresses though definately the gold.

Haha barbyman, what you just said reminded me of something a friend of mine once told me!

His uncle was this big burly bikey!
One day he saw on the church billboard “Come as you are”

So the next Sunday he rocked up to church in nothing but his undies!

I thought it was pretty funny!

Shoulders covered, if your dress is strappy or strapless, get a nice little card to go over it, Vicors don’t tend to like shoulders

i am a catholic and i agree with cakes. cover up in church. you can always remove the layers at the reception but for church please don’t show to much skin. Remember the attention should be on the BRIDE and maybe the groom

Do you have a nice hooded sweater? (I have one that’s a zip up that looks really nice, it’s just black knit, though.)
