Well… What would be a BIG thing to get him? What does he like more than anything? Is there anything you can use as a hint which he also likes?
Or, presents are usually about thinking about the person or showing your thoughts to them.
Show your thoughts to this person, show him that you take in what he says, and how much he means to you.

That’s what I usually do with my girlfriend, and she loves it. :D

Is there something you have between you both? Like a special similarity?

I mean like; say your sirnames were both “Bunn”, then you could maybe get him two bunnies hugging or something…

Then use that as something your present can express.

Is it an expression you want to give or an item which says “you like this kind of thing”?

Because this christmas would be the 3rd we’ve spent together now, and together for just over 2 years, I’m going to be getting her something that says “Two years I’ve been happy for…blah blah blah”
That’s the kind of thing I like to buy her, aswell as an item which says “I’m thinking of you” so that’d be a ring, little polar-bear thing which when you shake the little flakes that look like snow come don.

So use your present as something you can express your feelings with. But you’re in a sticky situation, I’ll admit. :(

As in the average relationship, feelings for each other are equal (unless the other’s cheating (but you know what I mean)), so if something would mean a lot to you, consider that specific thing, keep looking until something bigger comes up, maybe sooner or later you may find something which can relate to you both in some way or another, but if not, whatever is big to you, would probably be big to him.
