Computer HELP needed (Mac)

I updated a few programs the other day (including Safari), and ever since then, my desktop icons keep disappearing and reappearing about once every minute. It knocks me out of whatever window I have “active” and I have to click in the window again. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Upgrades often cause problems — if you can go back to the previous versions it might fix it.

My computer guy came over, and “apparently” it was a coincidence. I can’t remember what he did (it was a month ago …) but all is well, NOW. :)
