friends help: I can’t forget about him. - Help.com

I can’t forget about him.

A friend of mine, who is a guy, used to text me a lot and I thought we things were goin great until he stopped. I haven’t talked to him in like 3 weeks and I don’t know what to do when I see him at school. We had been texting on and off for a really long time. I feel like he doesn’t wanna be friends anymore but I can’t just give up like that. What should I do? Should I try to talk to him again? We never had like a relationship or anything and I don’t think either of us really wanted it. I just want to be friends again.

Time to put the wireless down and try some old fashioned face to face talking - real words, real feelings, real eye contact.
Bright blessings ~ Richard

Maybe he just felt you weren’t interested anymore or something? Things can easily be taken the wrong way through text messages unless you use a lot of smileys. I agree with Richard though, try talking to him in person.

Considering you both sort of avoid each other at school (or so that’s how I took it) maybe he just feels like he’s getting the ‘cold shoulder’?

It’s sad when the world has become dependant on “texting” as a social activity.
I agree with Richard, stop using electronics and be a person communicating instead of a phone.

i agree with the whole texting thing but talking to him in person isn’t that easy, especially when he’s surrounded by all of his friends

That’s funny because before the age of cell phones and email people used to do it all the time.

Look, if you really want something out of this then you have to get past the barriers or nothing will change. So walk up to him and say, “Hey you, I haven’t talked to you in ages. What are you doing this weekend? Let’s catch up!” Or something like that.
