My grandmother is very ill, I have avoided seeing my
boyfriend because we have had a few problems, and seeing me cry all the time, I thought might bring us down. But he sent this text “I want to be there for you, the one person who can breathe in the sand. We can both put our heads in it and you can talk and I’ll just listen and just be there to hold you because this is all so upsetting for you. I love you and therefore I care about those who love you too. But you’re the one who needs someone with all this, and I can be that person.” Obviously I understand this and it’s so lovely, but what does he mean in that bit about the sand , breathing it in etc? And should I reply tothis or is there no need for a reply?
