computer help: So, my computer can read and play dvds ~ - Help.com

This post left anonymously

So, my computer can read and play dvds ~

But I would like to save them on my computer and edit them in windows movie maker ~

How do I do this and have movie maker able to read them (aka: how do I convert dvd files into avi or wmv? and burn onto comp/how to actually save them?)

A step by step thing would be SOOOOO helpful. Its probably a silly question for half of you lol
