ever since i got a new internt provider it wont connect.. it says a firewall is blocking it from recieving its needed files but i have turned every firewall/security program off and it still wont connect.. i never had this problem until i switched internet providers.

I have version 4.18 what do you have. Most likely you need to reinstall and make sure you have the verylatest version available. Alos make sure your virus definitions are up to date if your not careful you’ll get trojans and other nasty stuff on your PC and then its all over.

change that number in the Listen Port to 47343 and apply if that doesn’t work change it back to the original number

well im using the box they give to connect to the internet dont u need that?? i always thought an extra router was just to add another computer which im only using one computer for internet in my house right now so i dont think i need one.. r u saying if i take all the cabels out of the comcast box and put them in a router it would help?? i know nothing about networks bear with me..

No you don’t have to use comcasts you can use any router yes put them into another router

Hi be careful posting some information about your network or connection settings it’s a little dangerous specially you are opening a port. Some scrupulous people who know what to do might get into your system.

Anyway, is it only limewire that you have problems with? Browsing and email (pop) okay? Look at your firewall (if any) rules or settings again. Try frostwire, see if it works. You can download it from filehippo.

also try looking for people from (crossloop , com) who can help you for free but take due diligence to look for trustworthy people there
