I need to know about ANTIDEPRESSANTS!

I’m worried that my sister is going to overdose on them. SHe’s been on them for about a month and half and she seems worse then before. She hasn’t told the doctor about it yet and I’m afraid she’s going to kill herself with them. She’s said that shes thougtht about it a ton today. How many would she have to take to do it?! She’s taking Paxil 20 miligrams! I’m worried! Please help!

I dont know how many you need to take to Od but if shes thinking about it you need to get them away from her. I recommend you tell your parents or whoever is in the same house as her, to take them away and regulate them to her. sorry for not knowing more you should look up how much it would take to od on some sort of medical site maybe.

There are a lot of antidepressants that can actually increase suicidal thoughts. I suggest you talk to you mom. She may very well need a change in her med. Don’t worry about how many it would take, focus on telling someone to get her back to see the DR. to change her med. if founded to be doing more harm then good. Good luck with this :)

two things, one, a side effect of some depressant is and this is no joke it can cause further depression i know ridiculous right?, get her on effexor or something else if she has to take anything, my gf took paxil, it did not treat her good, made her body incredibly sick and she was puking all day long, so i dont trust paxil at all, have her as well, write down about how she feels, poems, diary exc…

and a lethal dose is varied, it depends on weight, fat percentage, how healthy blood flow is exc… even height can be a factor but id say on average a lethal dose would be anywhere from 150mg +
