that am a victim of software counterfeiting so how can i solve this problem i checked in the web its gives me some steps but i couldnt get the code for the old windows software cz my friend install it for me any new suggestions without fornatting the laptop

It is probably an illegal copy of the OS or it is installed on more than one PC. If you want to solve this you will have to buy the OS that you want, otherwise it will shut it self off and block your use in about 14 days and will have to be reinstalled or you will have to enter the code that it wants. Hope this helps :-)
